PS2 useless? You've been had. Have you tried plugging it in? Do the lights come on? Can you open the CD Tray?

What do you mean: We've had the PS2 to look at for a year? I don't understand.

I suppose it depends. If you haven't got a PS2 it might be OK, but if you have it probably isn't worth it. As for how it looks..... a bit like an old video recorder. But we have had the PS2 to look at for the past year or so.

I was going to get an X-Box, but then I saw the specifications. It was really depressing! The footage that was shown at the showcase was incredibly poor, and the supposedly '10 times faster' than the PS2 only turned out to be 3 times faster.

The console looks ugly-as-puke, too. What the hell is that big green 'X' blob in the middle of it and the controller?

As for the X-Box and GameCube I didn't think that any 'in-game shots' have been released..... All that we've seen is promotional stuff which isn't a true representation of the consoles power.
As for games, it's impossible to say whether the games on the X-Box ot GC will be better or worse, overall, than those on the PS2.
I will admit that there are some truely great games for the n64 etc but the PSOne has some amazing games to match.

i believe that the ps2 is a load of rubbish, i don't know what all the hype is, it isn't that special, yeah its got updated graphics but they're nothing to get into hysterics over. I have seen both of the X-box and the gamecube are going to be a lot better but they will never get the recognition they deserve. The gamecube and the x-box are basically all the same as the ps2, but better updates and i believe that they will both bring out better games. Also the gamecube has rumours that it will be released for aroung £150 compared to the over the top £300 of the ps2.
I suggest for everyone to wait to the end of the year to buy an X-box.

people only think the ps2 is crap because they can't afford it and are jelous or there very very awkard!

why think about the xbox when it's not out until 7 months time!if your waiting for the xbox-dont bother because you'll be playing the waiting game all the time cos in 7 months time there will be plans for another one!!!
