Group winners:

Barcalona
Valencia
AC Milan
Manchester United

Runners Up:

Inter Milan
Ajax
Real Madrid
Juventus

So three from Spain, three from Italy, and one each from the Netherlands and England. Our poorest showing for a while.

Does anyone know if they're keeping apart teams that met in the first round, or teams from the same country? I don't think they are, because before they went out, they claimed Newcastle + Arsenal could meet Man Utd, if they went through.

How about AC Milan vs Inter and Real vs Barcalona, that would be fun. That would leave Juventus vs Valencia and Man Utd vs Ajax. That draw would make me happy.

I don't know who I want to win, as at the beggining of the season I put a fiver on AC Milan to win the Champions League at 33/1. That will get me over £150.

But I am English and want Man United to win it as well. Just hope Man United get to the final playing AC Milan, and AC Milan win.

I chose AC Milan as a outsider and they have proved to be one of the strongest teams in the competition. At the moment I think Real Madrid will win it, but anything can happen.

We can't play Juve until the semis because we played them in the previous group stage.

And having beaten them twice doesn't count for anything going forward. Depo beat us twice once in the group stages, and we cameback to beat them twice in the knockout stages...

I think it would be amazing if Man Utd were drawn against Juventus if that happend it should be no problem for them as they already proved they beat them easily. Then again Man Utd have the experience arsenal and newcastle don't and should beat anyone and win, especially with the squad they have this year. United all the way.

I think the prospect of playing the final at OT should give us the spur we need to beat anyone.

I think we can beat Real, Valencia or Milan (either of them) on a good day. Utd are after all one of the finest teams in europe.

Arsenal may have what it takes to overpower the premiership, but they are lacking in european pedigree.

I've got a feeling that we're gonna be drawn against Real Madrid, for some reason...

If the drawing for the Champions' League is fixed - just like it has been for the FA Cup this season - then we'll definitley get Real, now, to rake-in the cash.

It would certainly be slightly "easier" for us to get Inter' or Ajax, but what would be so bad about getting Real done and out-of-the-way-with now?

I'm confident we can win, no matter who we're drawn against tommorow morning, at 11am.

United will draw either Ajax, Real or Inter.

No easy teams there, but surely Ajax would be the preferred opponents?

Well, some people say it would be nice to get Ajax but it simply doesn't work like that at this stage of the competition. Ajax are on good form at the moment, they scored within 1 minute against Roma away and came away with a point and they maybe the dark horses in the CL.

If we get Real Madrid, Inter or Valencia then so be it, to win this competition you have to beat the best at some stage otherwise you simply aren't good enough to claim the trophy.

Therefore I really don't mind who we face in the next round. There's no hiding behind teams and it is a known fact that United up their game against the bigger teams in Europe and it will be a great game whoever we get drawn against.

It may be due to their poor league form, worth a little bet on them at those odds.

Wouldnt mind a bit of Real madrid in the next round actually. If you make it to the final, you really dont wanna face Real at the last hurdle.
Looking at that list of teams there...bloody hell. Ajax may be the weakest team, but they dominated europe not too long ago.

Bookies have it like this at the moment to win the comp.

Real Madrid 3/1

Man Utd 9/2

Juventus 5/1

Valencia 11/2

Inter Milan 6/1

A C Milan 6/1

Barcelona 7/1

Ajax 16/1

Not really much to choose between them. Surprised to see Barcalona so far down the pecking order though...They are the only undefeated team in the comp aint they?
