I've recently had some quality recommendations regarding books and it is occured to me that there must be many, many more books worth reading that I don't know about. Best of all was the fact that the books were "sold" to me on simple premises; the main concept is given but nothing is given that could spoil the experience. Akin to watching Dusk to Dawn for the first time without knowing the twist.

So my proposal is to start a thread in which people can recommend good books, without discussion or too much information being provided. Just whole hearted suggestions. I'm happy to take a chance on someone's opinion being valid.

So here are a couple to get you going:

Stephen King's: IT. His best work in my opinion.

Porno: The sequel to Trainspotting.

Man, that's got me thinking, I've been a lame reader recently...

I've wanted to read I Am Legend since I heard the rumour that Arnie might be staring in a big screen version, so I've finally got around to reading it. I'm about half way through at the moment, and it's good stuff.

I finished it the other night. I don't have enough superlatives to give it justice. Some of the ideas are inspired.

Finished I Am Legend. Excellent book.

Started on Descent, which is cool. Very atmospheric, I was gripping the book stiffly and noticed my knuckles were going white...

Tony Hawks, the writer, not the skater.

He's done a load of funny travel books;

Around Ireland with a Fridge
Playing the Moldovans at Cricket
One Hit Wonderland

All extremeley funny

Fionavar Tapestry - Guy Gavriel Kay

The Summer Tree
The Wandering Fire
The Darkest Road

Thomas Covenant for some reason makes me angry as soon as I try to re-read them.

I've read it.

I'm currently reading The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. A bit longwinded in places but very entertaining. I'm on book 9...there are 10 books so far and the series isn't even finished yet!

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
LOVE it....
You have made it so easy to build & host a website!!!
