I think I shall excuse you for wearing such a silly hat, because perhaps you have an insecurity problem.
And people are gonna come along and say "You shouldn't worry about what people think of you..." but the matter of the fact comes down to, you do.
You worry about what people think of you, otherwise you wouldn't have posted this topic, so why should you have to try not to worry about what people think?
Honest opinion, you seem ok. Best thing to do, is not feel alone though. People here don't try to push you away... well, we try not to.
