I really like sad and emotional songs, because they make me feel better (very strange, I know). So does anybody know any sad or emotional songs I'd like. A few are Your Man by Smash Mouth, War of the Universe by Rhapsody and that one... errrm, Round Here by Counting Crows.

Anybody?

Find some Tom McRae, and perhaps some Damien Rice. And then find a copy of Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley.

And a copy of Mad World by Gary Jules.

And I'll probably add a few more to this list if anything comes to mind later.

I'd say anything by the counting crows can be taken as sad depending on how you interpret the lyrics.
Anna begins is worth a listen.

Also the matchbox 20/Tabitha secret early stuff as mentioned including Jesus is an alien might be what you sre after.

seems a lot of bands can write songs about being really happy or really sad but very little can get the true feelings over to the listener.

Just because I seem to be obsessed with Don't Play With Matches at the moment, most any Tabitha's Secret track from it, particularly 3am (either the TS/matchbox 20 produced version, or the piano accoustic), Dear Joan and Here Comes Horses..

I find Green Day's Good Riadance (time of your life) to be kinda of emotional. Different to nearly all of their stuff. Maybe Macey's day Parade by Green Day too.

Creed with My Sacrifice.

I find it sad anyway. Love the lyrics...

Anything to do with Thomas Newman. Most of his music is *very* depressing and is heard on movies like Meet Joe Black, Shawshank Redemption, Pay It Forward, Road To Perdition, etc. It's just instrumental music.

Reading Room
Just The Feller

they are the sad ones I know of.

Heh, I just copy'd and pasted from the playlist and it included song times, albums and genre so I deleted them. Missed that though, and missed off the genre of Spin.

Ah well :)
