In order to make your topic more interesting i will divulge the following fact.

If you suspended a cigarette butt in water, and then if a small child were then to drink this spoiled water it would die from nicotine poisioning.

Lets be honest, non-smoking day is just a pathetic reason to try and help people give up. If they really wanted to give up rather than talking the talk, then they would. DOn't then go on about how it's hard because of the nicotine yardy yardy yar...you either want to give up or your just one of these people that goes..."I know, i must really give up, It's such a bad habbit"

Still it's your lungs that will end up looking like a raisen

I gave up a few years ago.
The nicotine addiction was easy to overcome, but the psychological dependence, that was the hard bit to keep down.
When you're a smoker you actually feel like you can't do anything unless you've got your cigs on you.
But after 4 weeks of severe resistence, that was it.
I can honestly say I never think about them whatsoever.

No-Smoking day is a blessing to all non smokers, as they are less likely to be made to feel ill by inhaling the sickening fumes given off by the self-interested smokers.

So for this reason also we should have a no buses and lorries day, because of the heavy diesel fumes?

works for me, I use the train to get to work.

"You do know it's National non-smoking day?"
"You do know I want to stub this out in your eye?"
"...how rude"
"Do something"

And then I came to work.

Yeah, I said basically the same thing when someone pointed this out to me today...

Random person: "You know about today don't you?"
I shake my head and inhale deeply and blow the smoke out.
Random person: "It's national no smoking day."
Me: "You know it was national spam day last week? Did you have a tin of spam?"
Random person: "No. I'm a vegetarian so i can't eat spam."
Me: "Well I'm a smoker. I can't NOT smoke."
Random person: "But you could refrain if you made the effort for one day."
Me: "And you could have eaten the bloody spam. Now go away and let me have my fag in peace."

How can anyone not like spam?
