You've got the Xbox 360 which is supposed to come out November, which is a major plus.
There's the PS3 which is supposed to be the better console as far as graphics and power go.
Then there's the Revolution - i have no idea about this console
So i put it to you - who is the best?
Nintendo need to drop Mario and chums and concentrate on something else, at least for launch, they need something that'll appeal to a larger group of gamers. They really need to shake the kiddy image.
I've played games like Sunshine, Super Monkey Ball, Luigi's Mansion etc, as I'm a pretty open minded person, and I did think they were good games. But as I say, they need to go for the casual gamer first, and if they walk into a store and see a Revolution bundled with yet another Mario game, they're not gonna give it a second look to be brutally honest.
Ninty need to get casual gamers interested in their machine, THEN they can start thinking about releasing the ODD Mario game for the big Ninty fans.
But I bet they do anyway.
The question is - apart from Nintendo fans, does anyone really care about the Revolultion?
The PS3 will be great because it'll have GTA, but it's too far away to get excited about.
The Revolution; well if Ninty aren't careful this whole secrecy malarky they've got going on is gonna ruin them. They need major publicity if the Revolution is to have the slightest look-in.
No matter how revolutionary they're new hardware is, casual gamers like things kept as simple as possible. And the casual gamer seems to control the market just now; just look at all the EA crap that's in the charts and you'll see that.

HA HA HA HA.
Rare are a bit of a lepar in the UK game industry now. I know for a fact that a certain company in Brighton have told people rejected by Rare that they aren't missing out because they wont have many successful released games to put on their CV. Producer at Rare? Well, what have you released successfully in the last 6 years? Eh, well, we'll get back to you.
I wont name names because it's more than I'm worth so you can look down your nose at these suggestions all you like, but I know a lot fair few working in the industry, 3 people at Rare included.
Realtime worlds on the other hand are much more interesting and are committed to making exclusives for the Xbox 360. Their press unveiling was THIS WEEK to be shown in the magazines coming out in October ;).

Because topping a chart is always a sign of quality...
**Cough** Fifa **Cough""
At the moment I favour the 360 simply because Rare are commited to it. Nintendo kind of let me down with the Gamecube, not that there was anything wrong with the Gamecube, just that I was expecting Nintendo and Rare to barrage us with another round of classics like they did on the N64. Guess it wasn't to be, although I won't write them off - this "revolution" might still turn out to be genuine rather than "different" for the sake of being "different".

That'll be the PS3 then. Probably.
As I've said elsewhere, after the crap that MS pulled last time with the Xbox, there's no way in hell I'd buy a 360 at launch. Maybe 3 months later, when it's under £100.
The one which sells the most games will be the best ;).

Seeing as none of them are out yet none of them are the best yet. Wait until at least one of the blasted things is on the shelves before trying to start a retarded console war.
