It has come to our attention that Kurt Angle is now set to miss this year's WrestleMania and up to a year of action thereafter. Kurt Angle's neck is in very poor shape and he will require surgery and rehabilitation.
Kurt Angle's career is not in any threat at this point, although this injury is certainly unfortunate for him, as this would be his first chance to headline WrestleMania as champion, and for WWE. With Austin and Rock back, WWE was hoping to see business boom for the next few months, but injuries of stars like Angle, Edge, Batista, and more are hurting WWE.

I would not at all be surprised to see an angle related to this begin tonight at the SmackDown! tapings. No word on how Brock Lesnar will fit into WMXIX at this point.

This is a massive blow as Angle has sort of become the franchise player for Smackdown. A big blow, for sure.
As for Wrestlemanai, what is everyone in favour of? Lesnar vs. Goldberg (if he signs?)? Lesnar vs. Benoit? Even a Tournament has been suggested to crown the new champ.

Kurt played an active role on SmackDown.
I was checking WrestleZone for imformation about this particular situation, and I didn't find anything. However, I did find that he played an active part on SmackDown this week - no, not actually in a match, but he was involved in a way that I wouldn't wnat to be involved if there are worries about me already scheduled to be out with injury for a year.
I won't say what he did on SmackDown, and I won't say who he's involved with, but are the WWE actually trying to end his career? Looks like it. :-S

First Edge now Angle. Smackdown's top wrestlers are starting to drop like flies. They haven't got that much talent for this to be happening so they better hope no one else gets injured otherwise we might start seeing some defectors from RAW
