"Kurt to miss Wrestlemania"

It has come to our attention that Kurt Angle is now set to miss this year's WrestleMania and up to a year of action thereafter. Kurt Angle's neck is in very poor shape and he will require surgery and rehabilitation.

Kurt Angle's career is not in any threat at this point, although this injury is certainly unfortunate for him, as this would be his first chance to headline WrestleMania as champion, and for WWE. With Austin and Rock back, WWE was hoping to see business boom for the next few months, but injuries of stars like Angle, Edge, Batista, and more are hurting WWE.

Kurt Angle is very disappointed about the situation and is expected to relinquish his title in some angle on TV in the coming weeks. I would not at all be surprised to see an angle related to this begin tonight at the SmackDown! tapings. No word on how Brock Lesnar will fit into WMXIX at this point.

On the WWE site today their banner advertising WM is still showing a Kurt vs Brock main event. why are they bothering to keep the promotion wagon behind this if it isn't going to happen?

I don't see the point in Rocky winning at Wrestlemania seeing as how he's disappearing again soon.

As much i want him to if he did get a match with HHH for the strap then i don't see him winning unless it's by DQ. Why give a guy the belt if he's going to be gone within a month? (though they did that last time)

Then if he had his match with Austin, again i don't see a clean win here seeing as Austin has just come back and wants to get on a good winning run otherwise he might end up like Steiner who i don't think has actually pinned anyone yet.

Rock has to win at WM, whatever happens.

Basically Vince said The Rock could choose his roster.

I found it strange how Stephanie hasn't shown the slightest bit of annoyance about one of her top guys moving to her 'rival'...

Did you see Kurt get thrown face first into the cage/ring edge by Brock and cut the top of his eye.

Ow.

What's happening with the Rock anyway, how come he's on Raw and not Smackdown. Plus Rock V Austin again, yay. The Rock had better whup his blad headed double stunning candy a** this time. :)

A real main event would be triple threat, Rock V Austin V Triple H.

And the Rock wins obviously.

Also, most people are thinking of WM, but Angle's going to be out for a whole year! He's like the franchise player of Smackdown, not to mention his involvement with Team Angle etc. (what will become of them?)

They felt that dropping the title to Lesnar on Smackdown would require less effort than a high profile main event match at Wrestlemania, the biggest PPV of the year.

They better now give the title to Lesnar next week in a short, pointless match...at least vacate the title and have a tournament or something.

If he's going to be competing next week against Lesnar, I don't see why they just can't allow him to compete at Wrestlemania.

They're probably just giving him a really short match on SD, and Lesnar will get a really quick victory or something, but if the match is an average match length, I'll be questioning why they didn't just leave it to WM.

On Smackdown this week, if lesnar beats Heaman in the cage he get a title shot next week, he wins, and he will beat Kurt next week.
