Entered any competitions? (I think I remember you saying something about entering one)
I'm thinking of dedicating more time to writing, since it's far more enjoyable than playing most games, and was just wondering how you were getting on.
Wrote episode 13 of Half-Life while under the influence of alcohol, to see what effect it would have on the writing style. I thought that was interesting.
OK, apologies for spam.

Elitist cow!
I like the idea of having a book to scribble ideas down in, I think I'll have to invest in one of those. Or lift one from work, whichever.
I get a rush of ideas twice a day, on the way two and from work, but a lot of them are just forgotten and what remains becomes Half Life.
Having one piece of writing on the go isn't too hot...
But good luck with the comps and submissions.
I've entered a few competitions, got feedback on a couple of stories.
Cubicle 3 wasn't too popular, I think the problem was that it was commented on by a middle-aged woman. Toilet humour wasn't really her thing.
The Maize got a fairly nice review though, but it's general lack of action meant it didn't get shortlisted.
I missed the deadlines on a couple of competitions that ended in February, because it's a short month, and it caught me out.
I've now got a book to scribble ideas down in, one of which I feel has a great deal of potential, I just need more time to work on it.
Submissions to magazines and the like aren't going well at the moment, I've got thingss I need to do, but am still in a position of disorganisation, meaning I'm not getting them done. I'm getting better though, I think I need a diary, then I can sort myself out...
I'm still optimistic, but need to put in much more effort, do more research, and just keep going.
Anyway, I suggest if you like writing, give it a go, it'll only cost the price of a few stamps, and some time. Well, some competitions have small entry fees, but £4 won't break you.
Next up for me is a few things to put on the foprums, because no one else would consider printing them, and as it's a forum, I can put what I like here. "The Cat in the Hat in Iraq" and something to do with Jedi's. These things need time, but they'll be seen soon...

Yes, so I then broke all the fingers on the hand that hit me. Ha! I showed me!!!

you're your own worst enemy!
I don't do a great deal of research for my story, but I do make sure I'm not tripping over myself like some convoluted Star Wars plot.
And I think up my plotlines while walking to and from work listening to loud music...
It was in my sleep, my arm fell asleep when I lay on it, as I then turned over I lifted my arm up to a more comfortable position with my other arm I then dropped it therefore creating the black eye.
