And yet strangely enough they seem to have MORE 3rd party support than ever before. Whether it lasts is another matter, but for a Nintendo console at launch, it's a very good sign.

Got my Wii on order. That and the 360 is all I'll need. I'll pick up a PS3 too, but not before the price drop.

Plus MGS will probably turn up on the 360 at some point anyway

Which is why it's a good reason to own a Wii and also either a 360 or PS3 depending on preference. Fact is people buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games, they're never supported that well by 3rd parties and especially not this time with the lower specs and odd controller.

I'll be getting a Wii eventually, but I'm gonna wait for the price drop. That way I'll be free to pick and choose from pretty much all the games that interest me from this generation. Not an MGS or Final Fantasy person, so PS3 really doesn't have much if anything that interests me.

Meh I guess so but Nintendo pales in comparison to the amount of games Microsoft and Sony have to offer. :/ I'm scared pb.

If only that were true. Half the Sony exclusives have gone 360-ways and what do they have left? Some good stuff, but nothing extraordinary.

Not really sure what that has to do with anything. I can't say I even remember there being a Pokemon forum, but at the same time I'm not ashamed to say I enjoyed the Gameboy games when they were first out.

Heck, I used to be a Nintendo fanboy until they messed up the Gamecube.

Well the PS3 is better spec wise, but Nintendo have gone and messed up Sonys plans by deliberately making the specs of the Wii relatively rubbish and saying that its gameplay that counts.

On another note, Sony have always marketed the playstation as the console of choice for the casual gamer so they can "Pick up and play" every now and then. The PS3 is going to cost far too much for that to apply so what way are they going to spin it this time?
