Hi,

I've looked around the internet and I still can't find a cheap place to register a domain. Hosting isn't important for me rite now.

Also, if I do except an offer here I'll need to know how much, if anything, it'll cost to move my domain name away from you when the time comes.

If I do get a few offers (gulp!) it'll be the cheapest that I'll go for.

Thanks for reading and I hope someone can help.

Freeola always quote it's discount price - if you buy two domains at once you'll get a 6quid discount - hence 11.74. That does of course mean buying two domains, which you may not want.

If you just want a name try somewhere like supanames, one and one or easily - they all do just name registration (i think) but you won't get any hosting for that price.

When I go to buy a domain from freeola... what does the final price say? It says "18.79". Even higher than what I first said.

Where on earth do you get your 11 pound from?

16 pound? Thankfully VAT is 17.5% not 60% so try 11.75 and thats for 2 years so works out at just over 5 pound per year. Last I checked it cost 10 pound to transfer a domain away from them.

Another totally inaccurate statement. :) There is no VAT in the US, they have sales tax and its varies according to the state, hence they cant show it on prices unless they choose to absorb the tax into the actual cost.

Freeola aren't the cheapest, however its hardly appropriate to be asking for cheaper prices from a rival company on their site is it? ;)
