...and they were very cool. They did most of the stuff from the album polus a few new tracks, loads of comedy (ripped up a gareth gates poster on the stage claiming he was a pestilence of the world) and it was all cool.

Until we missed the last bus home and had to walk 2 hours back cos we diddn't have the cash for a taxi. Got in at 4.30 this morning. Bah!

Still a very cool gig though...

I can't stand Slipknot or Stone Sour. But I thought SS's live version of Bother that was on TOTP last night was very good.

Stone Sour and Slipknot are my fav bands. I think Slipknot are awesome live. I've never actually seen much of Stone Sour, I have their album and have seen all their videos but that's it. I think Stone Sour are phenominal. The guitar solo in Get Inside is quite outstanding and Monolith is an excellent. I love Orchids and Idle Hands as well. Funnily enough Corey and Jim were my favourtie members of Slipknot so it was no suprise that I should like Stone Sour, I can't wait for THEM to bring out a DVD as well, that would be cool!

..unlike Slipknot. The funny thing is they probably went to a shop at the start of the tour and bought a motherload of Gates posters.

Slipknot are a bit manufactured, they admit themselves that a bunch of people got a bunch of members from loads of different bands to specifically create the sound of slipknot. Personally, I like slipknot, not for who they are or what they look like, but because I like the riffs.

Stonesour are real different from that though, and corey can really sing. They put on such a cool show, corey chatted to the crowds loads (the usual stuff like 'this is the best gig we have played on the tour' and then loads of other bits), the songs were tight and the sound was clean. Great gig.

More bands should do that.
I've heard 1 Stonesour track and I was surprised that I really liked it.
Not what I expected from a Slipknot monkey.

G-g-g-g-g-gareth Gates should be shot in the face

Stonesour is Corey Taylors band before he joined slipknot, and then used the fame of slipknot to bring Stonesour into the mainstream. Worth checking out...

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
