I think this is a very close run thing, Smackdown is fast and furious wrestling while No Mercy is slower but more playable. The career modes on both have their faults Smackdowns life meter thing is incredibly annoying but No Mercy's however good can become tedious if trying to complete a belt fully. Smackdown has more matches than you can wave a 2x4 at but some are very similar and just there to enlargen the list, the stable option is alot better than No Mercy so is backstage but then backstage isnt always necessary. No Mercy is a great game to play with your mates the ladder match gives enough laughs to keep even a non wrestling fan interested. Overall you should buy whichever is on your console because these are the crem de la creme of the WWF but check No mercy has cleared its deleting bug before you buy but if not it is still worth it.

Yeah. Bloody hell I've got both the games and I play them both the same amount. Neither game sucks, they both rule.

Why are there sooo many childish people on here??

I can't be bothered to explain, but all your comments are wrong, and your argument sucks.

Yeah, No Mercy is a bit slow, I agree. But I prefer it to Smackdown 2.
Note: The Cheese is actually both macca 1153 and macc007 under a different name.

And in NM you can

Have you actually played SD2??

You can do a Powerbomb, Piledriver, Rock Bottom or ANY move of the top rope through a table.

HIAC looks wrong?? That comment doesn't make sense, the HIAC looks fine, and you can slam them through the middle of the cell, push them off the top, jump on top of them off the cell, AND, if you put them on the Announcer's Table, you can slam them through that of the cell!! That's great fun.

In an I Quit match, you don't have pin falls or count outs. That is different from a normal match.

There are 4 normal grapples, 4 special grapples, and then there's 6 attack moves, as well as the special moves, AND 6 moves of the top rope. There's also reversals, running moves, and around 12 moves when the opponent is on the floor.
Also, the N64 has more buttons, what do you expect??

NM is too slow in my opinion, but that's just an opinion.

They have different styles, one fast, furious and fun, while the other is slower, but more realistic.

Oh yeah, No Mercy has that memory glitch.

But, what's the point of arguing over it?? Most people only have 1 of these 2 consoles, so you get whichever one is on your console.

It's all down to opinions, so let's stop arguing about the 2 greatest Wrestling games EVER!!

Thanks for reading, Ant.

No Mercy rules all the way to the Smackdown hotel and back! The grappling in Smackdown 2 is repetitive, with a grand total of 4 (yes, 4) moves. Thats compared to NMs 8, not including strong grapples. The SD2 career mode sucks, with completely incoherant storylines and annoying CPU VS CPU matches. Yeah, SD has more modes, but most of them are pants (only 1 move through a table?). HIAC looks wrong, I Quit is the same as a normal match, and the ladder system is nowhere near as good or tense as NM.
And in NM you can hit people with lumps of cheese.

No Mercy!

The most fun thing about it is smacking "Fabulous Moolah" and "Mae Young" round the head with ring bells or even pounding her head on it and hearing a satisfying.....

Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding! With every thud!

No Mercy is better by far!

(Not that I know....I've never played Smackdown 2!)

Sorry!
