I think this is a very close run thing, Smackdown is fast and furious wrestling while No Mercy is slower but more playable. The career modes on both have their faults Smackdowns life meter thing is incredibly annoying but No Mercy's however good can become tedious if trying to complete a belt fully. Smackdown has more matches than you can wave a 2x4 at but some are very similar and just there to enlargen the list, the stable option is alot better than No Mercy so is backstage but then backstage isnt always necessary. No Mercy is a great game to play with your mates the ladder match gives enough laughs to keep even a non wrestling fan interested. Overall you should buy whichever is on your console because these are the crem de la creme of the WWF but check No mercy has cleared its deleting bug before you buy but if not it is still worth it.

I hope THQ make SD3 for PS2 a bit more realistic, but keep it nice and fast, as it is fun.
On your point about the entrance themes, They could both take a leaf out of eachother's books.
I mean, the entrance videos on No Mercy are of EXTREMELY POOR quality, while on SD2, they are perfect.
On No Mercy, the bit where they walk out the ring is great, while on SD2, they don't do that.
If they both had cameras from the front, where you could see a perfect video, and the superstar walking to the ring, then that would be perfect.

Gamesharks and Action Replays are the same thing. The gameshark is american, the Action Replay is english.

WOW! That's good, you can get a Hell In A Cell! But wait, it's taken months to work out, and most people have sent the game back due to the GLITCH, And you need a Gameshark de-coder. Oh yeah, on SD2, you get it straight away. It looks very realistic, and it looks different from a cage, and you can slam them through it.
SD2 if fast, fun, and furious.
NM is extreeeeemely slow, more realistic, but ultimately, more boring.
And that my friends, is true.
