I've had a look a couple of pages back, but haven't seen a post about The Ring... yet. Or maybe I didn't look had enough, although I'm sure I've seen something about it somewhere.

Just wanted to know if anyone has seen it.

If you have, am I likely to poo myself?! Or will it suck totally?
I'm going to be watching it soon, so I wouldn't mind hearing what you think about it..

Look a bit further back and you'll see about 3 or 4 topics on it, 2 from me. These mostly consist of some of us saying how good and scary the original was, complaining about this US remake and other people saying that it was pants 'cause they're too lazy to read subtitles ;-)

Basically, the US one is supposed to be scary, for people who get scared by films, but not half as scary as the Japanese original.

By the by, the original Ringu Trilogy is now in a box set on DVD, I've seen it in MVC recently. Buy it.

Ah, but Ring 0 was rubbish. Or was it Ring 2? I am not sure.
One of them was rubbish though.

The original Japanese Ring was superb.

I thought the ring was meant to be some horror/thriller type movie, Now you lot are saying its some japanese Anime cartoon/movie?

Ring is a japanese horror film.
The Ring is a hollywood remake.

Oh...

Well "The Ring" looks cool anyhow.

The Jap version was toss and the American version looks even worse.

Do yaself a favour and hire out 'The Eye' now that's a scary movie.

Er, no. The Japanese version was great.

I thought it was rubbish, I love Asian Horror but I just can't get my head around what people see in the Ring series.
