I didn't mean you should not cover topics, just not create a separate forum for every one.

a) You fragment your community which is fine if you have lots of members but initially, you don't want to isolate people in their forums of interest.
b) It looks bad. Every forum has to start somewhere of course, but for a first time visitor, 15 or so forums of 0-2 posts each really gives a bad impression and makes people less likely to post.
My point being, I guess it wouldn't hurt to streamline your forums and expand as necessary.

I don't know how much this'll help because I've never tried it properly.
But I was watching over the shoulder of my dad, he submitted his site to a lot of them, including Google and Yahoo and the results turned up on the top of the first page. Good good!
