I'm getting a 360 and the cash would be nice.

I only play Mario Kart on it with my girlfriend so it'll be ebnayed or traded against 360 console or accessories.

What's the best way to get as much as possible for it.

The only RPG worth owning this generation was Disgaea on the PS2 :).

Doesn't matter, thought that was aimed at my Cube :).

I have £30 here.

What games come with it?

Which is exactly where I stand with the Cube ;)

My wee brother wants a new PS2 for his birthday next month (why!?).

I thought he should get a 360 then changed my mind - I'll get one.

I was going to trade my GC in, but as people have said, what's the point? You'll get £20 at most, and that's pushing it. And while I've still got Super Monkey Ball 2, Wario Ware, TimeSplitters: FP and Burnout 2 I'm still going to get quite a lot of enjoyment out of it.

So I'll be flogging the old PS2 instead. Probably get about £30 or £40 for it, but at least I'm not losing anything, seeing as I never play it.

Hmmm...
Nintendo didn't quite do the '64' era again. (I thought Smash Brothers was fantastic but only if you had people to play against).
I'd recommend Twighlight only I remember you didn't really like OOT (or was that just a "wind up those Nintys" statement?) but before you finally get rid of it I'd recommend giving Metroid Prime and Eternal Darkness a go.

The 360 isn't out until Christmas. Plenty of time. :-)

The X-box 360 looks like a dodgy start to me, expensive games, dodgy games and an expensive system.

As the Gamecube costs about £30 these days there is no point trading it in. Especially with the quality software still to come.

Think I'll get an X-box and leave it at that.

I've alway tried to imagine someone struggling down the high-street when they mention trading-in their old Xbox for something else. :)

I'd much rather try and post it back instead - or, failing that, flog it to the village idiot for an extortianate price! (But then again, they never carry much money on them anyway.)

Seriously, though, it's all very good news for me!

Microsoft have stopped making the machines now; the 360 is on the way; lots and lots of people are trading in their own consoles - and I want one CHEAP! ;D

Trouble is, I don't justify spending £80 on a second-hand one when you can get one brand-new for £90. I may well take a look on eBay at some point, one I've spend all I intend to spend on all non-gaming-related things firstly, of course...
