So if my mate gets a US version of, ohh, let's say, Nintendogs, and I got the UK version, they won't work?
And what about Wi-Fi? Will a UK console supporting a US game work online with that?

Yaar, that not be the problem, lad. A US DS can connect to a UK DS, it's not the hardware that's the issue, it's the game itself.
