What is your favourite Genre (Type of Game e.g. sports, RPG etc...)????
My favourite game Genre has to be First Person Shoot em ups. This genre is my favourite because the great multiplayer blasters that are around, like Quake III on the Dreamcast or Goldeneye and Perfect Dark (I recently posted a review of this great game - head to the N64 forum to see it) on the N64. These games have provided endless hours of fun for me and my mates on the weekends, and so the genre goes straight to the top of my list!
So what is your favourite game genre, is it "Sports" because of the great multiplayer footy games such as ISS Pro (PS1), or is it Racing games due to superb games like GranTurismo (PS1)???
Reply here, What do you think???
I must admit to also liking Driver...that hooked me from start to finish, although as it and micromachines are the only racing games Ive really ever enjoyed playing over long periods of time its not really my favourite genre.
So Sniper has a good point when saying no genre is generally better than the other, I like First person shooters in Multiplayer modes(my fave), but I must admit that I prefer Action Adventure as with DinoCrisis 2, when playing on my own.
Never the less I like Banjo - Kazooie, I think that it is THE most innovative game ever and I thik that it is THE best game of all time, of course I haven't played the sequel but I would have to say that Rare have done very well with the Bear and Bird in my view.
The Game
'er-no and Kelly Brook/ Chocolate Adventure.'
Altough:
'Jordan and er-no/1st Person bounce them around'...
..wasn't that bad!
They all play the same but it works all the time and provide hours upon hours of entertainment. Usually with the quality games it will take forever before you fully master them like UFC and TTT. Wrestling games are generally quite good aswell and provide an alternative.
Future releases look promising especially The Bouncer!!
Funnily the only Platformer i ever got on any platform was DK64, and that was very good for a first.
Truth!
You can kick back and chill out, it's as competetive as you want it to be, you never 'complete' it as such, there's infinite replay value, and you can have a game with your mates without the risk of it taking over the evening.
That said, the olny such game I got for my n64 was Wailailaili Country Club, which stank like the sweatiest sweaty sweater that was sweating in a sauna 4 hours every day for the past month before going and playing squash, and has never ever even considered taking a bath, shower, washing their hands...
Of course, I have a better PC game, but that's not really the point...
