Ive searched for graphs that show how much faster AGP is than PCI but i cant find anything. does anyone have any links they could paste to me. i want to know the difrenes. ive only got a pci slot

I've disabled it myself.... in the past i just played and neva tweaker my settings hence mipmapping was on Best detail....

Then there's stuff you might not notice like accidentally enabling FSAA and antistropic filtering.

My mate has a old dell.. with IE 5 still and the old Outlook express im telling him to update but he won't.
And he plays games with loads of crap on using RAM and CPU up.

or your one of those guys who when they buy a new pc install everthing that comes on all the disks so you have all these uselss programs start up on the taskbar and sit there taking up memory, i know it happens i see this all the time.

* His graphics card is a bit quicker than yours.
* Your RAM is extremely marginally faster than his, and the extra RAM you have will mean the latest versions of Windows will run a bit more smoothly when you hammer them.
* Your Hard Disk size/speed will make very little difference to game speed.
* His processor eats yours for breakfast.


If there's a big difference, though, it's likely to be another influencing factor - upgrading nvidia drivers can have a monster impact on performance, or maybe you have a virus scanner running and he doesn't.
