* His graphics card is a bit quicker than yours.
* Your RAM is extremely marginally faster than his, and the extra RAM you have will mean the latest versions of Windows will run a bit more smoothly when you hammer them.
* Your Hard Disk size/speed will make very little difference to game speed.
* His processor eats yours for breakfast.
If there's a big difference, though, it's likely to be another influencing factor - upgrading nvidia drivers can have a monster impact on performance, or maybe you have a virus scanner running and he doesn't.
