I just heard on the TV that the army as been diployed around london because of a possible terroist attack, tanks are around Healthrow airport waiting just incase.

I hope the war doesn't come about, if it does, i won't be able to go to USA for a skiing trip.

It's an understandable mistake to make between Armoured Personel Carriers and Tanks, especially for someone with no real interest in military vehicles.

There is a difference between tanks and APCs. APCs carry troops and have much lighter weapons than full battle tanks. they are also faster and often smaller. Calling them tanks is like going paintballing and calling the Tippmann model 98 paint marker a "gun" :p

It's just an excuse no to send them to Iraq.
