A lot of people say rock music is dead, but personally i don't belive that. I belive that when the country went through a fase of wearing hoodies the major brands called it fasion and as soon as the children pulled off their hoodies they considered rock music dead.
I still buy rock music and listen too it on a regular basis, and maybe this is another problem why rock music is considered dead, its unbelivably hard too just get rock music, without it being slightly pop, punk, or emo! what do you guys think?

yeah but Pring, thats just your opinion, don't spread your hatred of bands onto this guy, if people want to like Slipknot, let them. And you obviousley have never listened to korn or you'd know they hardly every just scream down the mic. Slipknot do admittedly, but Corey's just so amazing and thats why they're my fav. band.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers are great and have millions of fans still a sthey keep on bringing out decent stuff unlike Slipknot anf Korn who are just cr*p musicians who shout down the micro-phone, record it and sell it to people who are crazy enough to spend their money on such pants music. It isn't even good enough to download it and that is free!

Rawk will never die. In fact, it's quite popular at the moment.

Rock isn't dead, its just been took over by bands that take so much heroin and ecstasy they cant tell the difference between a cat and a food item. (Eg. Slipknot). Crap singers call themselves "punks" and attempt to sing hardrock, but in reality they are just talentless losers. Avril Lavinge and Skater Boy - not to bad a song but the womans a spoilt rich kid. True rock was bands like Deep Purple etc. with songs like "Smoke on the Water". Rock may not be so common nowadays, but it will return.

All depends on what you class as rock.

You get the crap pop rock that is filling the charts. You know the crap bands with minimal talent that scream and look odd.

Then you get the classic rock and then just pure Rock Rock where everything is all rock and roll.

ermmm......

So which one do you mean. Examples of bands too would help
