I decided not to get a PSP and spend the money on a nice HD-TV..so I cancel my PSP and guess what? The TV is delayed by 6 weeks, so I've phoned Argos and Toys R Us who will have some on a first come first served basis..guess I'm going to be legging it down to the retail park tomorrow then. Bah..bloody gaming..

I love tension, me. Gets the adrenalin flowing.

Exactly. Away from all the hype of next gen consoles, if you look at the PS2 Autumn schedule there are still a sizeable chunk of games worth getting. PES 5, SOCOM 3, 24, Soul Calibur 3, Buzz and of course Eyetoy Play 3 springs to mind.

That is a good feeling, especially if you know that you're 100% guaranteed to get a copy. It's when you know there's a chance that they might all be gone that the tension really starts to rise.

Well, I suppose the "Next Generation" of consoles will give you something to look forward to

For me it's just forking out extra cash when many good games are still due a release

Though, it must be exciting for you (and Wookie I believe) right now. I haven't actually waited for a launch since Ocarina of Time, so i've kinda forgotten the feeling.

I was going to pop out to see the launch at one of the big stores... but chickened out. I don't want to be stabbed for nothing, after all.

How far away is this retail park from your "dwelling"?

They said they should have some left from the pre-orders.

So have they just had a shippment in then? Because although things are popular there isn't a constant crush on the desk after the first few days.

I can't imagining there being anyone there right at the opening time, I think you'd be fine as long as you went in the morning.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
