I got the game yesterday, and I have to say it's supurb.
Pros:
Very fun
Good voice recognition (for the most part, my dogs hardly ever listen when I call them, but there are other ways to get their attention)
Quite alot of stuff to do, get a better house etc..
The graphics are amazing and great animation.
Lots of items to collect, and practicing with your dog/s for comps.
Cons:
I couldn't see myself playing it as much as I do now in about 1 or 2 months.
All in all it's a great game, but if you like AW, then obviously get AW:DS over this. I'm absolutly loving this game.

I happend upon this site looking for Nintendo DsCheats esp NintendoDogs I guess I'm a little to old for this crowd...I've enjoyed NDg for @ a Year now & have collected all 4 games...I've found them to all have their own personality...the obiedience training has been difficult & I still haven't found the chocolate or leopard or the mansion...I'm not really interested in ripping their ears off or poking them in the eyes...most of the cheats I know just by doing but there were alot of good tips...THANKS TO ALL that took the time to share...GAP53

Yeah, I killed one of my dogs by doing that :(
With the stylus, drag his ear and then yank it. That'll rip it right off. Also, when he runs up to see you on the screen, jab his eyes, and they'll eventually implode.
Just out of interest, how cruel can you actually be in the game?
Just saw an advert for it on E4, quite good :D but it had a voice over by Bill Oddie...

No. Novelty value wears off so so fast. Bought, then sold 10 days later.
