about 25 foot long to be precise, any ideas where I can get one from (here in the UK).
It's to connect my PC to my PS2 via an X-Port in case anyone's interested.

No, you use that for plugging into printers. You need an A-male<->A-female. Maybe a B. Dunno. Whichever A or B, it needs to be the wide flat-ish type. Like the ones that plug into your computer, y'know? :D

silly question (probably) but is this just an extension lead (I don't know what the connectors are)

No dude, keep your X-Port and just buy a USB extention lead and put it on the end.

Make sure you're using an X-Port (or similar USB networking tool) otherwise ..::BOOM::..

Oh yeah, I missed that...

Anyway, to answer the question, you need USB extensions. Buy from Belkin/SR/PC World etc.

If you'll read the original post, he said hes connecting them via an X-port, not a direct connect which of course will fry your usb hub unless you have the correct cable.
Of course thats not to say an X-port uses a generic usb cable in the first place for its connections. :)

Because both the hubs will attempt to supply power to the devices connected to them. If the other device is another hub...
