Starting tomorrow we're back in the studio recording 2 new songs to add to the 13 already recorded (in various states of completion).
Which means Saturday through to next Thursday I get to do nowt but play drums, drink in the evening and play video-games once I've done mah drumming.
And we have the string-quartet comprising of girls aged 18-22 coming in for 2 days, air-conditioned recording room.....excellent.

*stretches and cracks knuckles behind head*

It's a hard life.
"Quiet Revolution" and "Far too Long" (working title) will be ripped onto CD and ready for impartial listening in a couple of weeks or so if anyone fancies it.

Me too.

Give me your most Pumpkins-esque track (if any) and I'll love your band.

Like you need my approval......

Have you still got samples of your music on MP3?

I'd like to hear it.

Boom boom boom boom boom (The Blessed is released) boom boom boom boom, "Goaty what y'doing standing here when you should be on the drum"

"If I ain't on the drum, what's making that noise?"

Enter MegaBlessed, the 30ft bearded warrior iradiated by uranium, fed by consuming an entire rainforest (and several bulldozers) and compelled to use his super sized lungs to "shout out his love for local products, in an increasingly cut throat foreign economic market".

All shall worship him and obey.

I think "Biro" is still available, or even "Marker".

Work sucks man, as does running a whole Nation by myself, I tell you the amount of times I had to stop Blessed from gorging on P@asta...

Off for a week long course in a hotel in Bristol next week, all paid for (by you guys-the taxpayer) and it will be a behemoth of a week for the timesheet too. Shame I've got an exam at the end, which may determine if they take me on full time here. However I pressure for breakfast, usually with bacon, eggs and black pudding.

My doctor reckons I'll be lucky to make it to 89.

Yes.
Something about being onstage, sweaty and pounding away like a madman seems to float their boat.

And being absurdly confident and suave as a mofo.

And now I am done for a few weeks with drum parts.

It was fun and we laughed at Jarvis Cocker being locked out of his house and sulking on the kerb.
"What's the matter?"
"I've locked meself out, 'ave to wait in the bloody cafe now"
"Well, you wanna live like common people?"
"...what?"

Drank a bit, had a curry at 2am on Brick Lane, almost had a fight with 2 accountants over parking. Did 2 new songs "Said & Done" and "Quiet Revolution" and realised we have to change our name as another Parker have just signed with V2.

Now I'm back at work and not liking it 1 little bit.

what are you saying??! The sax is the ONLY instrument that symbolizes love/passion/glory/heterosexualism in one fatal swoop. With what other instrument can you take you top off, grease yourself down and wail out a fantastic sax solo and STILL look cool with? (see 'Lostboys' if you can't imagine how cool you'd look)

You should put faith in that thar sax. I'd choose it 9 times out of 10 over the drums....then on the 10th time I'd probably choose drums.
