Okay, on my Tactical Ops clan IRC a few guys told me that today a guy died from a drugs overdose, and he did it on webcam whilst others were egging him on on IRC.

On my Tactical Ops clan IRC, they were reading the log. Not sure how they found out, it's on the BBC site.
Just read the whole thing through. It sounds like it's him rather than anyone egging him on, to be honest. It's hard to say without seeing the rest of the chat text though. It's really quite disturbing reading it all through, knowing he's going to end up dead.

This is seriously nasty stuff. I'm only about 1/3 of the way through, and already it's quite worrying. I'm no drugs expert, but that is a lot of drugs.
Happens quite often, this chat log isn't much different to all the other ones I've seen regarding people committing suicide via webcam/IRC.
Some people survive their attempts, some don't. Doing it in IRC where 95% of people in the channel act like complete jerkoffs 100% of the time doesn't help.
If there's a lesson anyone can draw from the experience, it's always to be very careful what you say in chats/forums/boards etc., because you never know how it's going to affect the next person who reads what you're writing.

Actually, reading through some of it...sounds like it was mainly this guy's fault actually.
