Only three points in it now. This weekend could see a lot of Arsenal fans having to hold their breath for the rest of the season.

Alternatively, the Árse could reclaim their 6 point lead.

And even if either happens, there is still along way to go in the premiership.

But it's still exciting!

I dont win all the time ;)

But that bet last night has definitely tipped me way into the postive in my overall gain from betting.

I think a good bet at the moment is England not to qualify for Euro 2004. You can still get 7/2 on that. So £12 would win back £54. I expect Turkey to beat England when they meet, and Sven to leave England for Barcalona. England will have to get lucky through the playoffs. I wont put any money on it until I see how England cope with Australia though.

I think i'll leave betting for a while, used up all my good fortune yesterday! I had £2.50 on Van nistelrooy being first goal scorer as well, that won back £10.83. Just wish i had had more faith in him and put more on! Thats two games running he has been first goalscorer now. Van man is always a good bet to be first goal scorer against the "lesser" teams. Also gets the first goal in a high percentage of champions league games...

Indeed, and Birmingham have only actually conceded more than 1 goal in a game at St.andrews 3 times in the premiership this season. And they beat Leeds there who have the 6th best away record in the premiership.

I had £12 on it being a draw at 45 and a united win at 90 mins, winning £50 so i'm quite happy!

I remember Ferguson saying to SkySports a day-or-two before the match that he would have to "guess" Steve Bruce's line-up for the game after all-6 of those January signings.

That has to count towards something, and why we only got our goal in the second-half, after half-time?

I made no such assumption. I simply negated to comment on Man Utd fans. The cockiness here belongs to the over-zealous assumptions of you Gunners fans.

Fair enough, but it still doesnt show the vast amount of 'cockyness' that sniper usually (tries to) type, so he's not exactly in a position to comment on slight things like that! (examples can be found if required!)

We couldn't score against Brum, but we still got 3 points - similar to Arsenal against Fulham at home, it's hardly simple picking up points against teams who put 10 men behind the ball whether its in their own yard or away from home, we still won the game and claimed 3 points thats the difference between teams like Utd and Arsenal compared to the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea. Yes you can win the big games but the if you cant balance that up by going to places like Birmingham/Bolton/Charlton/ and not get a result then a challenge for the title will never be enough. (and vice versa)

Agreed.

But that surely works both ways - its about winning and losing, be interesting to see the reaction if we beat Arsenal and beat Liverpool - 50/50 chance, but the main thing is that we are in that position.

>anything's possible!

Indeed it is.

That'll be the apparent assumption that only the Arsenal fans will be holding hteir breath, as opposed to the United fans. A bold statement consiering it appears United had trouble scoring against Birmingham, despite dominating the game.

After all, if the points are level after this coming weekend, the of breath-holding would logically be equal for both teams supporters.

Be interesting to see the reaction should Arsenal put United out of the FA Cup, and Liverpool win the Worthless!

After winning the title at OT last season, how nice would it be to put United out of the FA Cup there, and - possibly - win the Champion's League there, too. What a Treble THAT would be!

Not saying it's going to happen, but in football, anything's possible! ;-)
