A Birmingham radio station has been fined £15,000 after four people were left with severe frostbite after a competition stunt went wrong.
BRMB challenged contestants to sit on blocks of dry ice - carbon dioxide frozen at temperatures of -78C - to win tickets and back stage passes for a music festival in the city.
*stunned*
Okay the station was in the worng here, but if it was you, would you sit on a block of Dry Ice!
Even if you didn't know what it was you wouldn't sit down it for so long that you were in masses of pain.
I have handled dry ice, after holding it for a couple of seconds in hands covered by latex gloves, it really starts to sting.#
He put the carrot in his mouth and then used the cannister containing the dry ice to bludgeon the nail into submission.
Science in action.

Errm. Can I pass on this question?
Wasn't their fault the radio station messed up and got the wrong kind of ice.
Yes, they're still idiots, but not as idiotic as you may think.
Very Stupid.
Sacrificing flesh and health to meet someone who will have no impact on you to compensate for it is nothing short of witless and idiotic lunacy.

but NOT on dry ice!
