Just bought a David Lynch DVD boxset - Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway and Eraserhead for £27.99. Seeing as I don't really like confusing films (my brain done hurt) I think I may be disappointed, or at least baffled beyon belief.

Mulholland Drive was fantastic, but I've no idea what it was about. But the excessive lesbian scene made it easier to understand. Not sure about the tramp behind the diner, the cowboy, the midget or the dude that chokes up expressos and shouts a lot have to do with it. I was with it right until the bit with Theatre De Silencio, then it lost me.
Lost Highway made me angry because I didn't get it at all. Bill Pullman is arrested for possibly murdering his wife and gets sent to prison. Then he wakes up as Balthazar Getty. The sex scenes in this made it easier to understand, but apart from the scary man at the party (and he IS scary), I couldn't tell you what it all meant.
Eraserhead made me frightened to sleep for hours afterwards. I dont know what it means (ANY of it) but it just unsettled me. The old woman that doesn't move a muscle is funny, but the rest is just scary. Especially the puffy-cheeked woman that lives in the radiator and stamps on foetal worms.
A good purchase, but be baffled/angry/scared/confused.

I would have given you Eraserhead for nothing 'cos it's utter crap.
Are you sure that you purchased the DVDs or was it your imagination?
