2:41am. Can't sleep. Can't turn the heating off either, which is probably why I can't sleep. Went shopping today. Bought a joystick (£24.00), MS Flight Simulator (£9.99) and some CD cases. Fed the dog (Shadow). Now I'm wondering whether or not to uninstall Unreal Tournament to clear up some much needed hard drive space (996Mb left, oops). What that has to do with feeding the dog I have no idea, but I get these crazy kinds of thoughts at this time of the morning. Like, "Why did God make me an aetheist?" or "If space and time are interchangeable, why does my watch break when it falls on the floor?". Pretty heavy stuff, but then I've a pretty heavy intellect, so it's no bother. Rang up Stephen Hawking to see if he could answer my questions, but he speaks so damn slowly that I ran out of call time. I'll get the card topped up and ring him tomorrow. I hope he's in, not down the pub or something chatting up the barmaids like last week.

5:13am. The time that land forgot. Something like that anyway. Nearly got to sleep, but Stephen Hawking rang me about an hour ago, drunk, and asked me if I still had that signed copy of A Brief History of Time that he sold to me last year. I told him no. (Dog ate it.) He yelled abuse at me for a few seconds, then seemed to calm down, mumbled something about "Port Vale for the Cup this year" then hung up. No chance of sleep now. Just tried out the new joystick (Saitek ST110). Rather fun, but Flight Sim was a load of pants. Nothing to shoot. Managed to pull off a first rate landing on the Statue of Liberty though. (Does it count if you land the plane in more than one piece?). Had to delete Unreal Tournament though, it had grown to 1GB all by itself. Lecture at 9:00am today, 'Mathematical Modelling'. Great. Just what I need to keep me awake. Wonder how many cans of Red Bull I can guzzle in the next 4 hours? I reckon about 20.
