With just under 3 hours to go, we are all gonna find out just how revolutionary the Revolution is.
will it change the way we view games?
and how will the controller replace the D-pad, a standard for the past 23 years?

i, for one, cant wait to find out!

post your reactions to the keynote speach here.

:D

(feels like christmas! hehe).

Heh, I find it odd that two of the console names pretty much mean the same thing.

360 and Revolution (A complete revolution being a 360!)

i remember when the gc was unveiled and my initial reaction was disappointment cause i hyped myself up so much.

(well my initial, initial reaction was 'PURPLE?!?!? WHAT THE F**K?!?!')

im totally hyped for tonight but even if disappointment creeps in, im gonna try remain optimistic for the future of the Rev.

Nintendo always do things their own way. it might not always be the "right" way but at least its gonna be the fun way (keyword being fun here folks).

heres hoping for a "Revolution"!

(terrible, terrible use of the pun but hey?!) :p

I shall be playing Otogi and then coming back at 2ish.

With this, Otogi and the MS announcement it's a very japanese sort of day...

I still think the best controller would just be 2 seperate joystick grips, one for each hand, with an analogue stick on the top for your thumbs, and 4 buttons down the front (one for each finger) - the top ones being triggers.
Perfect, you never even have to relocate your fingers.

But I bet it's something much more interesting.
'Interesting' being a neutral term at this point.

Well ... I've got 2 hours to burn. May as well start packing for uni.

I bet you can make phonecalls with it.

"I'd like to order a pizza... oh, hold on, this section is particularly tricky, and I could really do with using the C button...."

I hope it's a reversible controller with two different sets of buttons, depending which side you want to use, and shared trigger buttons. :D

Think the Revolution pad will possibly just be special case pad, with some games still making use of the GameCube pad.

Shall still be good though.
