This probably makes me the only person who isn't hugely against what he did, then.

I'd prefer to look at the results of his actions than how he did what he did. Nobody innocent was hurt. One guy with child porn was reported to the police. Does that sound so bad?

Robin Hood was a complete b***ard too, wasn't he?

He's just another one of those deluded idiots who mistakenly believes that by going outside the law but for doing his own thing rather than doing anything malicious, he is not outside the law, but instead above it.

No-one is above the law. Laws exist for a reason. Hacker laws exist not only to slow the spread of viruses and stop fraud and electronic theft, but also to protect human rights to privacy.

Besides, what does it mean if you find someone with 10GB of child porn? It could have been placed there by another hacker, or the computer could be long to a peadophile investigator. I'm sure the police would love you for deleting 10GB worth of electronic evidence, or trying to turn their own people against each other.

Hacking is illegal. Not only is it illigal, it is immoral, voyeuristic and all too often malicious and verges on stalking.

Anyone who does this is a sick wierdo geek General, who belongs in jail.

Obviously he is doing bad by intruding other peoples private property.

But if he wont stop, at least he is helping to stop kiddie porn being spread.

I don't think he should be doing it, but if its all he has to do with his sad little life then he might as well do some 'good' with it.

Uh-oh, I agree with Belldandy for the second time in a week. Must go and read 'The Communist Manifesto'.

Yup, in this country the only way for the security services to remotely access another person's computer, officially for an investigation, it get a court order to do that, even then it has to be for a pretty serious reason like terrorism or organised crime. I don't doubt that the security services can do it in less official ways but we have to trust them as, after all, they protect this nation. This guy does not.

Yeah, Belldandy is right - just because he happens to stumble across illegal files on someone's computer doesn't detract from the fact that he is liable for prosecution as well. Unless he has the power of the law to search computers, what he's doing is illegal and wrong. It's like a burglar breaking into your house, finding a stash of drugs and then reporting the drugs to the police - having the drugs is illegal as is unlawful entry.

Case closed.

I've been looking for something interesting to write all day...

I've found it!

You're going around acting as if you should be respected for what you did, I think that you're an idiot!

I don't like kiddy porn or anything like that so don't go accusing me but you said that you infect random people and look around their computers at all the stuff that they have got...

If I ever found out that it was you who was accessing my PC illegally like that I'd be straight onto the... who would I contact in England?... oh well, I would be straight onto the FBI reporting that you are unlawfully gaining access to people's computers...

How would you feel if somebody invited themselves into your house and looked everywhere, through all drawers and wardrobes just checking for anything that you shouldn't have? It's basically the same thing...

Of course after searching a certain number of people you are going to find something that someone shouldn't have and you'll be all pleased with yourself but you can't make it sound like you are doign a world of good in snooping about in other people's private things...

Most poeple will have private stuff on their computers, it will be perfectly legal for them to have and if you were caught somehow they could easily sue the **** off of you and you could probably get put away for some time for computer misuse...

I don't respect you what-so-ever in what you are doing...

It's wrong!
