Ok, installed GTA3 and after 3 years of believing that my graphics card is good, I suddenly fell back down to earth!

I've got it on the lowest resolution and the game still goes along jumping about and really slow...

I can't remember what card I have got, is there a way to find out?

Anyway, is it that I need a better graphics card or is it just my PC that's slowing me down?

I've got an 800Mhz, 128mb RAM PC, it was rather good 3 years ago!

It's still above the recommended specs for the game though...

Any ideas?

Thanks...

I just tried it on 1280x1024x16 and with maximum details...

It handles it fine with only a tiny bit of slowdown when you crash..

Not bad!

OK, it's all done!

It's excellent, the car actually drives smoothly now!

I'll try in a decent resolution now too!

Thanks for the help!

I've got it, I've eaten dinner, I've helped my sister to do her homework!

Time to rip my PC to bits and fit it!

I'll rad the instructions first though, don't worry!

OK, so it looks like I need a better graphics card...

I'll give you lot the honours of choosing a good one for me, one that SR sells though as I want to drive over there and get one tonight if they have any in store...

Otherwise I'll order it off ot the net...

I'll spend anything up to about £70, basically the cheapest, bestest card I can get from them...

I looked this up, and indeed the Radeon 9000 is more powerful than a Geforce4 MX440, but is a little more expensive and a little less stable. Both will rock a TNT2 though.
