I can see her future: married to Darren (Dazza to his mates) at the age of 19, preggars by 20, Darren leaves her at 21, she has had another sprog by now. She ends up as a library assistant to support her kids and discovers the real value of books. Some of which fetch up to £3 at the local Sunday jumble sale she sells them at.
She spends the rest of her life relying on the Sun, the 6 o'clock news and Eastenders to inform her about the world around her and influence her actions.
Her kids are attend the special school one day a week and soon discover the value of books; heavy ones make better projectiles than smaller ones. They then spend their mainstream school days throwing them at the more conciencious students who will later study things like medicine, and will invariably rely upon these very same people to remove that cancerous lump from their stomach, caused by ink poisoning from excessive pulp consumption.

Lol, I can picture him now cursing in Iranian.
NED (Non-Educated Delinquent)
I probably spelt that wrong as well
Life of a dull person then. Goes through school, popular/sexy/etc, gains wife/husband, life of misery, ends up lonely. Spends more time hiding than facing the truth, etc.
Would they convince themselves to be happy alone? Live with cats or stuff to keep them happy?
Everybody needs escape, I'm sure, no matter how intelligent you are. I think it's just perhaps the intelligent [as a group, yes I'm labelling, shurrup] that don't escape as much as the dull.

You puzzle me there. What soet of pain are they going to end up in? Mental Pain. Far more common in intellectuals, I would have thought. Or physical pain? How any more than anyone else?
"So mabye we shouldn't scorn the stupid, but instead be jealous of their luck."
Or naiveity, depends on how you see it.
The more you learn about life though, the more you feel sorry for them. They're going to end up in a lot of pain, one day.
