The Who star Pete Townshend admitted to viewing child pornography on the internet. He admitted to giving his credit card details to a site allowing to view child porn images and two MP's and another rockstar are also linked to giving their credit card details to an american site. But its all ok because he "didnt download anything". A quote taken from bbc
"I would be prepared to have the hard drive of my computer analysed by the police.
"It is important they are able to convince themselves that, if I did anything illegal, I did it purely for research. I am not a paedophile."
He was a brilliant rockstar but is he now just a dirty perve? Just look at the picture on the bbc website and make your mind up

so far 1300 people have been arested as part of this operation, from a list of 7000 uk subscribers.

the FBI shut down a child pornography site, took all the credit card details and email adresses and passed the UK based ones onto scotland yard.
so far 1300 people have been arested as part of this operation, from a list of 7000 uk subscribers.
I cannot help thinking that one aspect is being overlooked here in this whole topic in the media.
He is supposed to have gone to sites, and paid, for child pornography.
How do you pay online ? With a credit card, whose payment goes to an account somewhere that, if it is accepting credit card payments, is traceable.
Find the sites, trace the payments, arrest the owners and get the details of everyone else who has used the site, and find and arrest them.
Is this not a good idea ?
