dubbing is awesome. It makes kung fu movies go from a great genre to an amazingly funny genre

Dubbing is great, but only on bad kung fu films. Then it's pure comedy.

I saw a great Jackie Chan film the other day - the mercurial "Dragon Lord." Brilliant!

It's a well known fact that since Jackie finally cracked the US market after many years of trying, his films (written, directed and funded by Americans) haven't been as good as his previous Hong Kong efforts.
Of course it isn't only the fault of easily pleased US audiences that his newer films are bad, he isn't getting any younger these days, so I suppose fast & furious fight scenes and big stunts are pretty much a thing of the past.
Should he retire and stick to the directors chair? He might just end up looking like Chuck Norris or Clint Eastwood if he carries on making films till he's old and decrepit. Still, at least we have his older movies to enjoy.

I hate dubbing, you concentrate on how bad it looks, and how fake the dialogue sounds, that you often don't pay full attention to the film. Subtitles are much better

It was on TV ages ago, probably after 11pm

It wasn't my choice whether it was dubbed or not.

DUBBING?? What's wrong with you man? Subtitles are the only way to truely experience foreign cinema, especially oriental action films. The way they speak when they're in the middle of a fight is enough entertainment in itself.
