I'm a Man Utd and Pompey fan, so I was pretty much buggered today, I was rooting for Pompey and feel that they have been hard done by not to get a replay out of it.
Yes United dominated the first half-hour or so, but when pompey got back into it, they looked like a different team. It's fair to say that they outplayed United for a great deal of the game.
I really cant believe how unlucky Nigel Quashie was when he was through on goal, in slow-mo you can see that the ball bobbled right as he hit it. But I still have no idea what he was doing. Slotting it past Carol looked like the best option
Now, Uniteds second penalty leading to their third was considered a clean cut Peno to everyone, but on the replay Hayden Foxe got a touch on it, so surely that means he played the ball? How is that a dead-cert penalty?
So 3:1 United, 83 minutes gone, Feeling slightly miffed when... TODOROV SCORES YEEEE... bullsh..
OFFSIDE??? WTF? Toddy was inline with the ball when it was played, Have they changed the rules for the umpteenth time again?
I'd pretty much given up by then, so I baggered off upstairs with the commentator saying "Scholes is through..."
Still, I guess it was a win-win situation for me, and it was a good taste of Premiership life for the soon to be, Division 1 champions...

I wouldn't say they were LUCKY as such - they always looked to have the better cutting edge - but the scoreline was a little flattering.

I felt it was more a case of Utd being lazy when 2 up and letting Pompey back into it. I felt that Utd could step it up when they needed but the goal from Pompey did liven the game up. If Pompey had the skills to go with there effort then they could do well if they go up otherwise they will go straight back down.
