I could even have a blackbox type device to record my last few words describing the experince. I can then manually launch the box from the rear of the ship seconds before I'm sucked into the nexus of the universe.
> Also the nearest Blackhole is about 1000 million light years away
As far as I recall, this Galaxy is roughly 100,000 light-years across, and there is one at the centre. As we're on one edge, that means there is one around 50,000 light years away. So, not taking into account any smaller ones created by normal star collapses and micro-blackholes created at the formation of the universe that could possibly still be around, you could do it in a million years if you reached 10% of light speed in both directions, which isn't impossible at all.
> I don't think he was serious you know.
Neither were we.
You know.
:D
Also there would be little point in sending the "black box back" which surely couldn't travel back at the same speed as the ship, so let's say we assume 2000 million years for it to return.
So for anyone to get any information from your escapade they'd have to wait 3000 million years!
Great idea, I'm sure that the National Lottery will fund you.
;)
That would be a little unsettling for you. I think.
And a bit of a waste of money. And life. And fuel.
And a rocket.
And the box. That would be sucked in too.
You really should think more carefuly about these things you know.
;)
