Sure, violent 15/18 rated films and games provoke violence, so why are so many dim witted parents letting 6-10 year olds near them?
It's a deppressing tale which goes something like this...
Part 1: Irresponsible parent.
Parent buys the films and games there 7 year - old has been asking to see. They see the red certificate but "they won't be frightened" they say, "it won't affect our child" they say...
Part 2: Monkey see, Monkey do!
The child now influenced by the violence it see's, now follows it up by copying it.
The leads to fighting in school, aggressiveness and in Rare cases where the child has has been brought up to use a gun(and the child has been playing Goldeneye - get it? Rare case and Rare game...) and child kills.
Part 3: Parent looks for scapegoat.
They finally look and see what they've exposed their child to... and blame the games industry/ films industry for producing the violent exposure!
When are they going to learn that it's because they didn't respect the laws and read the red certificate, that there child ended up this way.
There's still no excuse for releasing a poor game and trying to get it to sell because of the violence!
(This means you carmaggedon creators!)
