Basically i am looking at upgrade as a few of you know.

I was looking at a AMD Athlon 64 3700+ but i'm now thinking bigger, now i'm looking at AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+.

I need a CPU that is pretty much going to last for 2 years or at least a while.

Thoughts? other CPU suggestions?

I read the article on argos, and it turns out it's because they have something in their terms and conditions that basically says 'prices on the website may not be correct, we reserver the right to refuse a sale'.

I probably could have got the mothboard but i always like to check, I mean for SR to have a CPU at a low price undercutting other companies is something very out of the blue.

If they've got it in their terms and conditions that they can refuse to sell anything priced wrongly, then they can.

that camera company probably didn't

Samsung/some other camera manufacurer lost a lot of money because a lot of people ordered a camera from their website at a reasonable but wrong price and a court upheld their purchases.

That was a large group though.

That's because most people think (like you), that if it's shwon at a certain price they HAVE to sell it at that price.

That is true.

But they have to sell it at that price if they actually sell it.

They don't have to sell it if they don't want to.

So, if say Book A is advertised at £5 when it's actually supposed to be £10.

WH Smith have two choices:

Sell Book A for £5
Don't sell book A.

Well I didn't forget because I didn't actually know. I know that in places like WHSmiths you can demand they stick to a certain price though, I've done it myself.

UK. I'm not sure about the power issue (i expect you could just use an adapter), but surely if it didn't work and you had to send it back it'd be a load more hassle.

nah because it's on the net, recently argos has a tv for 49p on their website due to a pricing error and they didn't have to supply them for that price as far as i know.
