Hard to beleive but Christain Ziege could have been no longer with us today. It seems that during the match against Charlton on Boxing day he picked up a blood clot in his leg. If it hadn't have been caught in time he may have had to have his leg amputated or even worse, have died. Pretty shocking news.

Yeh I heard about this - imagine a player gets 'a knock' during a match, thinks nothing of it as he should be back in a couple weeks - goes for a scan at hospital and is told you have to have an emergency operation as a blood clot has formed in your leg and you could die if it's not removed! - must have been some shock for him!

However, I think he's recovering ok now and I wish a speedy recovery.
