Well The Queen and even Sharon Osbourne does it, so why not me?
And to be honest, I'm not sure if I can arsed to post again before New Year so I shall provide a summary of 2002.
Mainly to remind myself how this year went and what I achieved blah blah blah

2002 - Pretty normal.

That's 12 months of living summed up in a sentence - so I'll throw in some details and leave some out because I dont want to share all my experiences with everyone.

Played around 15 gigs (roughly one a month), spent a total of 7 weeks in the studio in blocks doing drums and percussion and mixing.
Worked for a bit - promoted twice, 2 different bosses.
Split with girlfriend of 3 years in May.
Felt miserable through June about it.
Slept with 8 girls since splitting with girlfriend
Switched from Marlboros to Bensons to Marlboro Lights.
Had countless meetings with A&R types, made me realise the cliche of them being phony, slimey insincere freeloaders is correct and they have no soul.
Had my 1st experience with cocaine and it didnt turn me into a raving criminal that raped, stole and murdered from people. Nor did it leave me with a crippling addiction.
Rediscovered my thirst for alcohol.
Shrugged off my miserable obsession with righting the wrongs in the world.
Stopped caring what strangers thought about me.

Met someone and decided to move in together after knowing each other for 3 weeks.
Realised life is a series of adventures and is there purely to be experienced on every level possible.
Realised how much the new Star Wars movies suck.
Bought an Xbox, sold my PS2, bought another PS2, bought a Gamecube and sold it within a month for £50.
Wrote 2 songs that made it to being played onstage.
Became friends with Mackie & the guys
Almost punched out the Starsailor singer but was prevented from doing so
Bought Graham Coxon a pint
Had Depeche Mode come to a rehearsal. Surreal but cool.
Realised how cool Ebay can be
Secured an agent in Los Angeles and became S.G.A certified

There's a bunch of other stuff but that'll do for now.
I'm off to make a cup of tea, visit some porno sites and smoke whilst I wait for sleep to claim me, my knees to stop aching and to turn off my digital 5.1 home-cinema surround sound Xmas pressie.

If I don't visit again before 2003, hope you had a good year and hope you stake your claim on 2003 before it gets away and another 12 months are wasted on the sidelines.
And in the words of the immortal Lawrence Tierney

If it wasn't for the total lack of standardly acceptable morals and the terrible example it sets to children, I'd give you a GAD myself.

Well done.

Boring.
Makes you a cocky sod for about 20 mins and that's it.
Tried it, nonplussed and don't see the appeal myself. More of a buzz from gigging or getting laid and that doesn't turn you into, as Craw put it, Liam Gallagher.
Imagine those idiot yuppies on the train with mobiles that are all "Yah, I just sold £20mill of shares yah". That's you on Coke that is.

I'm sticking to Vodka and Marlboro thanks.
Each to their own.

Certainly not worth the cash, but interesting to try. Turns you into Liam Gallagher for about 30 mins then leaves you craving for more for the rest of the evening.

Its like being super confident and thinking you have the world at your feet. But you're not and you haven't.

My advice: only take some if is free and you just want to see what its like. You wont get hooked or become a drug crazed rapist (as goatboy so elequently put) and you certainly wont be able to afford to have a habbit anyway.

One of my mates had it as a one off. He doesn't even smoke weed, so I dunno what he was doing snortin' coke! Said it was nothing special

Two of my mates are into drugs. Weed, E, speed etc. They've had coke quite a few times, but said it wasn't worth the money for the buzz they got, so they stopped

So, from three of my mates - it's not very good

Crack cocaine is addictive stuff. Take that more than one night in a row and you're hitting addict territory.

Anyway this year I feel I've erm (lame term) bettered myself, moved one, whatever. I'm not going to list what I've done becuase that shouldn't concern you, oh and I've actually done something with my life rather than bum around all day with my mates.

My flat mate's got a drum kit for his main Chrimbo present. I can't wait to hear it (at three in the morning) and the ensuing and inevitable arguments that will doubtless follow, should ensure a happy new year for all....

Happy New Year and let's hope 2003 goes well for the Goat.
