That bloke from Fight School. The geordie, Asian one. I forget his name (he was knocked out early)

I was in Envy with my mate, and as we left, he walked towards me. Took me a second to register him, and as he walked past, I turned and said "Hey, weren't you...?" He just smiled and nodded, then we both walked off.

Up until then, my claim to fame was that my mate had a line in Byker Grove, and I knew Bridgette's real life brother. Now I can say "That bloke from Fight School nodded at me"

I'd better insure my eyes...

I've seen that Martine McCutcheon

And met Adiran Edmonsen and Jennifer Saunders.

And served the daughter from My Family, in the pub.

Indeed.

And I saw Laurence 'stupid name' Bowen in Port Isaac, Cornwall.

He was looking for his dog.

Heh.

Fight School was a programme on Sky One, where a bunch of young martial arts students were sent to China to learn from the Grand Master there (a bloke who trained with Bruce Lee)

They had to complete tasks, and after each day, a strongest and a weakest pupil were chosen. The weakest then had to fight someone that the strongest picked (could pick themselves if they wanted) The loser of that fight went home.

Some 30 year old bloke won it after a week or so, but then he was fighting a girl half his size in the final, so it came as no surprise. A lot of the better people were knocked out early

Is she the younger one, or the older one from Eastenders?

She was with that gimp from Casulty, with his Merc covertable parked outside. I had to settle for that fat lass from Emmerdale and You've been framed.

I played cricket with Viv Richards in Antigua and all his West Indies cricketing mates. It was the coolest day of my life - cold Red Stripes in the cooler, red snapper on the barbecue, hot sunshine and the soothing noise of willow on leather. Ahh, the good old days.

Who else? I saw Scary Spice a year ago, walked past half of Atomic Kitten (they look incredibly young), served Frank Butcher ("a pack of rizlas and half an ounce of golden virginia, guvnor!") when I worked in a shop, met Kathy Lloyd and, one of the best of all, had a picture done with Jo Guest in her bikini!

But my crowning glory came when I used to work part-time in an airport - during Euro 96 I met the whole of the England team - and they even signed a football for me which is secretly guarded away at an undisclosed location. I feel boosted now. I better lie down or count to ten or something.
