Now. I would like to know if A) There is an real difference between Pc/Mac versions, and B)Where and how much?

I've looked at Ebay and te results are pathetic. Ah well.

I got a 5GB one about this time last year, wish I'd gone for a 10GB now. Size isn't the only difference, but in any case a 5GB iPod is still leagues ahead of pretty much anyother MP3 player.

You'd be suprised how quickly you'll fill that 5GB up.

If everyone owned an iPod.

There would be more peace.

mmmmmm, ipod. Want one, can't afford one. Mind you, I could always just get a card for my MP3 player, but 256mb compared to 20gb? Oh well.

The order (a Christmas present) for an iPod (5gb) is on it's way to me :-D

I was going to get a 10gb but then I realised that was just TOO much space. 5gb is fine, better then 128mb on the MP3 player I was gonna buy anyway.

Got it on Mac Warehouse although I did try to import meaning I would get the 10gb for the same amount as the 5gb or I could of got the 5gb for much cheaper. But, ahrdly anywhere done shipping and if they did you had to pay pretty much for it and then add on taxes etc. So it worked out more and longer delivery in the end.

Apparently there were a lot of complaints from the staff at shops where Apple Macs were on display because people were plugging in their iPods and nicking software off the harddrive and because it uses Firewire it only takes a couple of seconds!

For those who are wondering: installation of software on a Mac is entirely different to a PC - you simply drag and drop so you can basically take any software off a Mac without the original installation disks.

Get a student discount from Mac Warehouse.

Or do what I did, and buy from the US.

Yes Beards it is an Elite club, however you are paying for the quality which will last a hell of a lot longer.
