Has christmas come earlier this year or is it just me? I thought over the years stock came in shops around october, but this year it seems to have come in september, total madness in my view, because now stock is out I am likely to start buying stuff. Personally I like christmas because of the cold weather, but just think the shopping side of things gets madder every year. What are your views on christmas? Do you think its coming earlier and earlier every year?

I've always been one for green grass, trees and bushes ... the natural look. Some woman over the front decided to just get rid of all the turf and cover it all with gravel, having the odd plant and bush here and there.

To me that's not a garden ... it just looks a mess. Plus there's lots of young children around here so predictably the gravel gets everywhere :(

Proud of the new pond I helped to install in ours. The frogs and fish love it :)

Great.

Aye i need something child friendly but i dont want like the idea of cutting the grass. I love oriental things too, ill have to see what i come up with. With me going to be renting tho will just buy decent plants and ornaments. Not going to go as far as decking etc... not till one day i get my own house.

Didn't want to mow it and always fancied an oriental garden. It's a bit dangerous for the kids unless they're supervised though, although Ana Maria now has a play house on the top of the decking. (I'll get a picture of it in a mo)

Where did you get your ideas for something like that. What made you go for that rather then your typical green grass garden with a gnome!

When i move and find a great house i wanted my garden to be great, lots of wierd ornaments and i dont want colurful flowers in it, just green tall plants, rockery, fountain etc...
