It can't be a lack of calcium as I drink loads of milk!
Is it too much?
I've got loads of these white 'spodges' on my nails and I've never found out the true reason for them!
Enlighten me!

That can't be right, surely?
Bruising occurs when cells are crushed to death. Since your nails are not live cells in the first place, you can't get bruising on your nails, only the finger underneath. If you did that though, any marking left from a bruise would not 'grow out' with the nail.
It's due to you knocking your nails, once the brusise goes you get a white mark!
And er-no...
Stop being such a spammer!
:(
In any case, if you knock your fingers or nails you will get those white markings, they can mean lack of dairy products but normally its just a simple knock that creates the marking.
I don't have any and my fingers go everywhere.
Strange really.....
