This has been added to over the last 18 months or so by the fact that demos now consistently time out and return you to the disc menu screen.
Last months demo of Fahrenheit kicked you back to the menu screen almost as soon as the intro had finished.
This month, PES5 gives you one half and kicks you out. They could at least give you a whole match.
Then I was happily playing through Brothers In Arms and got unceremoniously booted back to the menu.
These demos are quite short, and there's no way that unlimited play time would prevent you buying the full game, so what is the sudden obsession with time-limited demos?
If they're going to make us pay for the demos, at least let us play the things for a reasonable time.
It really p!sses me off.
I do agree with what your saying.....but I think they're good none the less. If you're an ice hockey fan at all, play the NHL06 demo, that gives you a pretty good play time.
I've never played a time limited demo on any console but the PS1.
Mainly for the reasons you've already mentioned like the limited time and also how rushed demos are.
