Anyone got the new box set?

What's the 5 hours of extra footage like?

Essentially, is it worth me getting?

Here is a link showing what the R2/R4 versions have in terms of extras, and the extras in bold text are the extra ones that are contained exclusively on the regions version only.

The only thing that the R2/R4 versions have that the R1 doesn't is the 5.1 DTS soundtrack and some storyboards on BTTF1 and BTTF3.

You know, you pick up on some new stuff when you watch them all in a row, instead of seeing them one at a time, with months or years inbetween.

And as for the R2 features, check Play.com for yourself, the R1 version does, indeed, have a lot more

It's in the film.
The part where Marty jumps into the Delorean in the radiation suit is old footage filmed when Eric was going to be Marty, they had to use to due to time restrictions or something

Got the DVD, love the films.

I heard that Michael J. Fox is doing a commentary on it still, which begs the question why didn't they wait till it was finished? Oh yeah, Xmas. Anyway, the films are brilliant, and the DVd extras are quite good - interesting to see pictures of Eric Stoltz in the Marty McFly role, although surely they must have some footage lying around...

I'm pretty sure they're the same, the lists are just worded differently to make it seem like different amounts.

I could be wrong though....perhaps.

I checked Play, and R1 does seem to have more features. R2 has very few, probably the same as R4... so why did we have to wait so long for it?

...It has exactly the same, the only difference is the region coding and packaging design.
